| LAW AND TAXATION |
By virtue of the IBC (International Business Companies) Act 1990, IBC's are exempt from all taxation. An (IBC) in Belize has minimal filing requirements and is not subject to exchange or currency controls.

Barbados has permitted companies that do not trade locally to establish a presence on their island under the current legislation statute, International Business Companies Act (IBC). The IBC benefits from reduced tax rates which at times can be as low as 1% on profits in excess of $15 million U.S.

| CORPORATE REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY |
- An IBC may not carry on business with residents or those that own real property in Belize
- An IBC may not carry on banking, trust or insurance business unless licensed in Belize
- A minute book and company seal must be kept at the registered office in Belize
- A minimum of one shareholder (individual or corporate) and one director (individual or corporate) need not be a resident of Belize
- An IBC needs only to pay the annual franchise tax - no annual return documents need to be filed
