Nova Scotia was founded in 1867 and lies on the east coast of Canada. Nova Scotia is almost completely surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. The neighboring Canadian Provinces are New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. The population of Nova Scotia is approximately 940,000.

CORPORATE REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY |
- CSC offers assistance with simple incorporation of limited companies (also known as corporations) and unlimited companies
- Every limited company and unlimited company registered in Nova Scotia must appoint a Recognized Agent in the Province who receives official correspondence and who may be served with process
- The agent must be a resident of Nova Scotia
- A numbered company is possible in Nova Scotia. A numbered "corporation" is an entity that is issued a number by the corporate registry such as "842613 Nova Scotia Ltd."
- The objective of a numbered company is to avoid having to do a Name Search (Name Reservation)
- The entity is assigned the next sequential number issued by the Ministry in the jurisdiction. It cannot be self-selected
- A minimum of one director is required (no residency or citizenship requirement)
- Officers must be a Secretary and should be a President (no residency or citizenship requirement)
- Name of limited companies must end with "Limited", "Ltd.", "Incorporated" or "Inc."
- Unlimited Companies must end with "Company", "Co.", "Corporation", "Corp." or "ULC"
