Delaware Amends Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code Posted:7/01/03

On June 19, 2003, House Bill 268 was signed by Governor Minner Sections 1 -4 of this legislation amend the Delaware Code regarding Secured Transaction filings. The below changes will become effective on August 1, 2003:

Increases the amount the Secretary of State may charge for a regular UCC filing from $50 to an amount not to exceed $75.
Increases the amount the Secretary of State may charge for an Internet UCC filing from $20 to an amount not to exceed $50.
Increases the fees for copies from $2 per page with a $5 minimum to $10 for the first page and $2 for each additional page. Clarifies the authority of the Secretary of State to establish different rate schedules for bulk copies.
Increases the fees the Secretary of State may charge for expedited service.
