New Rhode Island Reinstatement Requirements Posted:7/22/03
Rhode Island House Bill No. 5768, effective July 17, 2003, increases the maximum time allowed for the Rhode Island Secretary of State to reinstate a profit or nonprofit corporation's certificate of incorporation or a limited liability company's certificate of organization from five (5) years to ten (10) years from the date of issuance of a certificate of revocation. In addition, the bill requires profit corporations and limited liability companies to submit a certificate of good standing from the Rhode Island Division of Taxation for reinstatement.
