The Corporate Transparency Act: Readiness, Concerns, and Implications
The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) went into effect on January 1, 2024, to provide law enforcement and government agencies with more tools to protect national security and fight corruption, terrorism, and money laundering.
CSC recently commissioned independent research among senior in-house legal and compliance executives from across a broad range of industries to gauge their views regarding the introduction of the CTA. Our research found a significant majority of respondents think the CTA is causing concern among companies and are worried about their organization’s compliance. At the same time, most also believe the CTA will result in greater trust and support stronger business relationships and trade.
