FAQs
The UCC-1 form is also known as a UCC-1 financing statement. You would file UCC-1 financing statements to help perfect your security interests in the personal property of your debtors. On each UCC-1 financing statement, you’ll need to provide the exact legal debtor’s name and address, the creditor’s name and address, and collateral included in the lien.
The most common mistake with financing statements is determining the exact legal name of the party. With CSC’s Keyword Search Logic tool, you can target keywords from the full business name to maximize search results. The results will include name variations, general misspellings, and doing business as (DBAs) names. Learn more about the features of CSC Lien Perfect.
UCC-3 is known as the UCC Financing Statement Amendment Form. You would use this form to reflect a UCC termination filing, UCC continuation filing, UCC assignment filing, or a UCC amendment filing (you might file a UCC amendment to change, delete, or add the name of a debtor or secured party).
